Volunteer Coordinator (part-time)
Make a difference for communities of color and the environment by recruiting, training, and supporting an expanding volunteer corps for The Bronze Chapter, a non-profit organization based in Washington state that is growing a more skilled, safe, and environmentally engaged Black, Indigenous, and People of Color outdoor community committed to caretaking the natural world for future generations.
Responsibilities include:

- Volunteer Interest Follow-up and Recruitment: Develop and implement strategies for recruiting volunteers using various channels such as direct expressed interest, social media, community outreach, and partnerships. Maintain and update volunteer database and recruitment materials such as application forms, informational brochures, and online postings.

- Training and Development: Organize and conduct orientation sessions for new volunteers to introduce them to the mission, vision, and operations of The Bronze Chapter.

- Scheduling and Coordination: Manage the volunteer schedule to ensure adequate staffing for all programs and events.

- Communication, Support, Retention, and Appreciation: Serve as the main point of contact for all volunteer inquiries and communications. Create ways to appreciate and celebrate volunteer efforts.

- Self-motivated: Ability to work remotely and keep self to tasks and deadline.
Hours and compensation: $1,000 per month for approximately 32 hours per month. This is a grant-based contract position currently through mid 2026, with possibility of extension.
