WE ARE KIND, ENCOURAGING AND OPTIMISTIC
The Bronze Chapter provides places and spaces for people of color to joyfully learn and grow outdoor skills, adventure, explore, and discover. We acknowledge and respect our various learning styles. We respect that the level and scope of engaging with the outdoors is different for everyone. We show each other patience and help each other overcome challenges.
WE ARE GRATEFUL
We are grateful for opportunities to rewrite our outdoor narratives together. We cheerfully share our knowledge and skills and plant seeds that can help each other learn and grow.
WE ARE RESPECTFUL AND SAFE
We behave respectfully towards each other. Any form of harassment, bullying or abuse (physical, verbal, or online) is a hard no.
We behave respectfully towards animals and wildlife. Chasing or harming animals in any way is a hard no.
We behave respectfully towards nature. We learn and practice the 7 principles of Leave No Trace and remain mindful of how our footprints affect our environment.
We have open arms for our Black, Indigenous, Asian, and Communities of Color family who represent as LGBTQ and two spirit.
If you witness someone behaving in an unsafe or disrespectful manner, contact the person facilitating the activity.
WE TAKE CARE
We take care of ourselves and look out for each other.
