DESCRIPTION:We’re starting something new. It’s called Wednesday Wonder Walks and it’s part of our Discover Backpacking Series. \nThis is an invitation for people who wonder about hiking and backpacking to walk with us Wednesday evenings May through September at Discovery Park as we carry our weighted packs and condition our bodies for backpack trips. \nCome to ask questions or to catch some fresh air. Come with your own weighted pack if you want to condition with us May 20\, July 15\, August 19\, and September 16. The trail is less than 3 miles with less than 250 feet of elevation gain. \n \nThe vibe will be casual. The pace will be conversational. We’re here to connect\, share some knowledge\, and get inspired by nature together. \nCome prepared to take care of yourself with footwear\, snacks\, hydration\, and such. \nThe Details: \n\nDate: August 19\, 2026\nTime: We’ll start at 5:30pm and walk for 1.5 – 2 hours\nLocation: We’ll meet at the Discovery Park South Parking Lot (Seattle).
