Join Community Boating Center and The Bronze Chapter and be introduced to the basic skills required to safely sea kayak by yourself! Completing this class gives you the skills needed to rent sea kayaks at Community Boating Center.
Students will learn about:
-How to enter your kayak
-Cold water safety
-On-water safety communication
Prerequisites: None! However, if this is your first time in a sea kayak and you want more time to get comfortable and learn basic paddle strokes check out the First Splash – Intro to Paddling program on June 25th.

Lodging: If you’d like to stay and participate in other programs let us know so we can pass along info for area stay or camping options
Next Step: This course is designed as a prerequisite to our Rescues & Recoveries class. These two are offered in succession for a full day of kayak skill growth!
