Inspiration for The Bronze Chapter was born at this picturesque site hugging the Columbia River, that’s why Daroga is our annual celebratory epic melanated Community campout. Braided Seeds has partnered with The Bronze Chapter to cover camp fees for youth, so kids 17 and under camp free. All attendees must be pre-registered and fill out trip waivers.
This welcoming and supportive Community campout is perfect for new and experienced campers. Whether you’re camping alone, with friends, or with family we’ll help facilitate connections and get to know each other.
Our comfortable group site has it all – large shelter with sink and electrical outlets, flat grass for dispersed tenting, a walking path to the main campground, and large modern restroom building. The park is approximately halfway between Lake Chelan to the north and Wenatchee to the south, which makes it a convenient jumping off point for hiking, scenic drives, wine tasting, and tourism. Tenting is dispersed on grass and there are 3 RV parking lot spaces with water and electric hook-up.
Daroga State Park is visually spectacular. On the elevated edge of the desert scablands, deep and rich color-scapes of Entiat Valley and the western hillside during vibrant sunsets, the beauty of the 1.5 mile long Columbia River shoreline, and dreamy blue skies will be our home away from home.
This was the homeland of the Entiat, one of the smallest tribes of several Salish-speaking groups that dwelled along the course of the Columbia in what is now Eastern Washington. The tribe’s original name, Entiatqua, has been translated as both “rapid water” (most widely used) and “place of grassy water”.
