The Bronze Chapter and Families of Color Seattle are joining to create this special all-inclusive three-night, all-age, all-gender camp at beautiful Samish Island Campground and Retreat Center to provide historically underrepresented communities of color and our families with a summer camp experience that’s organized and hosted by Black and Brown leaders.
You can camp in a cabin, your tent, or your RV and enjoy full hook-up. Former Iron Chef challenger and renowned Chef Wayne Johnson will be in charge of meals. The 80+ acre campground includes open spaces, forested areas, walking trails, and saltwater beaches offering a unique and serene environment for discovery, rejuvenation, fellowship, and skill-building in a retreat setting. Note: Each cabin contains four single beds (bunks) so each cabin sleeps 4 people. Families and friends will be placed in the same cabin. If there are more than four people in your family/group and you need two cabins, there will need to be an adult in each cabin that contains a minor child (no exceptions).
We’ll be camping on traditional land of the Coast Salish people who have stewarded this land since time immemorial. In honoring this special place, program themes for our gathering will center us around Community, Water, and Land. Programs and activities will be provided by The Bronze Chapter and Families of Color Seattle.
All-inclusive camp fee breakdown (all inclusive means this is the total camp fee per person for all 4 days). All minor children must be accompanied by an adult.
