The Bronze Chapter created this free meet-up for those new to camping and backpacking, experienced campers wanting to learn more about equipment, and those who don’t feel comfortable asking questions in a Euro-centric environment. **You don’t need to be an REI member to participate**
We’ll be meeting in a classroom at REI’s flagship store at 222 Yale Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109, for a private Community hands-on opportunity to check out, compare, and ask questions about equipment. We’ll display a variety of camping and backpacking equipment, and have tents set up in 1, 2, 3, and 4-person sizes so you can physically see the differences and learn what’s the best size for your needs. This will be a supportive, non-judgmental, BIPOC-centered environment, so bring your questions and be prepared to get inspired to camp with The Bronze Chapter and others this year!
