BIPOC-Centered Wilderness First Aid Certification class (March 18-19, 2023)

The Bronze Chapter is bringing back Medic SOLO‘s Dr. Eddie Hill to teach our BIPOC-centered WFA certification training. This class will be assisted by Black female WFA instructor-in-training Denice Rochelle. This 20-hour training is longer than standard WFA classes. You’ll have more real-life scenario practices and opportunities to learn what illness and injury look like on melanated skin in a welcoming, non-judgmental learning environment. You’ll be supported by a culturally-sensitive instructor and celebrated local Chef Wayne Johnson will prepare hearty meals as you learn to care for yourself and others in remote areas and every day.

REGISTRATION NOTE: In the Payment Options area, pay $95 by Venmo or PayPal Friends and Family (ignore the pricing you see higher up). If you prefer to use a charge card call MEDIC at 434-326-4697.
